Main Contributions

1. Developed 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM)  and Software

    first of  China from 1970 to 1972.  Using novel method to

    construct  high accurate curve body element with 20 nodes.

    discovered super convergence first in the world.  Calculated

    20 -30 more  Dam and mine  construct's displacement and

    stresses in all China.  Obtained Chinese Scientific Prize in

     1978.

2. Nonlinear Convex functional FEM analysis and applications

    in electromagnetic (EM) in electric power engineering,

   hydro power engineering, civil engineering and underground

    flow in oil engineering. Obtained Hunan Scientific Prize in

    1975 and 1980.

3. Operator spectrum FEM analysis and application in

   civil and hydro power engineering. Obtained Hunan

    Scientific Prize in 1979.

4. Developed a novel and successful wave velocity inversion

   1982-1985.

5  Developed new  parallel 3D acoustic wave velocity inversion

    and seismic wave velocity TCCR inversion.  1986-1988

6.  Developed new two points curve ray tracing and its

     tomography inversion. 1991  -1992.

7. Developed a new EM to pseudo seismic q domain

   regularizing  transform and cross hole tomography imaging.

   1991-1993. EM sheet modeling. 3D  nonlinear EM electric

     integral modeling and  inversion. 1993-1994.

8. Developed a new 2D/3D Magnetotelluric inversions

   methods  and their applications. 1992-1994

   new electric field integral equation.  1994-1995.
